Learning Standards: 1.1.1, 1.1.4, 1.2.4
Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
Listen to and respond to a given stimulus by using appropriate words, phrases and expressions with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
Pupils will be successful if they can
1. Relate the topic with their daily life.
2. Role-play the dialogue (textbook page 12).
Vocab: saving, spending, sharing, donate, manage, decide
T.Aids :Word cards, textbook, worksheet 1
CCE:Multiple Intelligences, kinestatic
Activities :
1. Teacher shows piggy bank to the pupils.
2. Ask them questions.
• What is this?
• Do you have piggy bank?
• How much you save in a day/ week/ month?
3. Then, teacher asks the pupils to listen to the role-play.
4. Teacher chooses a few pair of pupils to do the role-play.
5. After the role-play, teacher focuses on the focus words.
6. They discuss in class the difference between saving, spending, and sharing.
7. Teacher gives away worksheet 1, so the pupils can write down their ideas in the paper.
8. Before the class dismiss, the pupils paste their works on the English Corner.
